# Commerce DD

> Describe a product idea, a product or a company. Commerce DD pulls the closest patents, the complaints buyers leave on rival products and the US rules that apply, and writes one cited report.

## What it is
A research service for inventors and R&D teams. A person describes a product idea, a product or a company; a research run reads public sources and writes one report in which every paragraph cites the evidence it rests on.

## What a report contains
- Patents: the closest publications from Google Patents, each feature of the idea mapped against their independent claims, in-force patents flagged for a patent attorney, and expired patents anyone may build on. Search results, not a legal opinion.
- Failure points: complaints from the top reviews of up to 8 comparable Amazon products (signed-out pages only), CPSC recalls and openFDA adverse-event and enforcement reports, grouped into themes.
- US regulation: Code of Federal Regulations sections in force today (eCFR) that match the product.
- Market: prices, ratings and best-seller ranks of the comparable products.
