How your ideas, files and reports are kept

Commerce DD is run by Arthur Labs, Inc. This page says what the service collects, why, who else handles it, how long it is kept, and how you take it back.
What you give us
Your email address, which you sign in with. Clerk, our sign-in provider, holds it.
The ideas you describe, the files you attach, and the reports and evidence each run produces. These are visible only to your account.
Messages you send through the contact form, kept for 365 days so we can answer them, then deleted.
What a research run sends elsewhere
To research an idea, the service sends what you wrote and attached to Anthropic's Claude API, which reads it and writes the report. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms and does not train its models on it.
The searches Claude writes from your idea, such as product and patent search terms, are sent to Amazon and Google Patents to find matches, and to public US government databases (CPSC, openFDA and the eCFR). Your own words and files are not sent to them.
Public pages a run reads are kept in a shared cache so the next run that needs the same page does not fetch it again. A search is filed under a one-way hash of its terms, never the terms themselves, and nothing you typed is shared with another account.
Who processes it
Cloudflare hosts the service and stores your projects and files (Workers, D1 and R2). Clerk runs sign-in. Anthropic runs the Claude models. Fetches of public pages may pass through a proxy provider; those requests carry search terms, never your account or your files.
Cookies
Clerk sets the cookies that keep you signed in, only on the sign-in pages and in the workspace. Your light or dark choice is kept in your browser's storage. There is no advertising or analytics cookie.
How long it is kept
Your projects, files and reports stay until you delete them or your account.
The record of what each run cost is kept for 400 days, and is detached from your account when you delete it. Copies of public pages are kept for 180 days.
Your rights
From the Account page you can download everything in your account as one file, or delete the account and everything in it. Deleting a single project removes its files, runs and reports at once.
